Israeli-Azerbaijani ICT business forum considered to hold this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with newly-appointed Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harper.

The Ministry told APA that Harper spoke about priority purposes during his activity period in Azerbaijan. He expressed interest in establishment of close cooperation and intensive relations in ICT sphere between the two countries. Touching upon satisfaction by some companies operating in Israel about his activity in Azerbaijan, the ambassador reminded that A.Abbasov had been invited to international conference-exhibition on cyber security, to be held in Israel in November, 2012.

The ambassador said the visit considers acquaintance with infrastructure projects on ICT as well as cyber security and etc; meetings with leading companies of Israel in ICT sphere, holding of mutual forum with Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.

In turn, Abbasov appreciated the development of Azerbaijani-Israeli ICT ties. He noted that Israeli investments in ICT sector would play an important role in development of the economy. At the end, he invited Israeli counterpart to the Internet Management Forum and BakuTel-2012 exhibition-conference.
