Azerbaijan makes several proposals on cooperation forms with Slovenia in ICT sphere

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has received the delegation led by Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Technology Radovan Zerjavin.
According to Ministry, Ali Abbasov noted that, the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia in different spheres, as well ICT sphere developed.
Besides, Abbasov spoke about Azerbaijan’s priority projects. He noted that, the country had started works on extension of broadband internet services, as well providence of per village with this service. Required fund has already been determined (350 mln Euros).
He also spoke about e-government: “Azerbaijan has sufficient infrastructure for information services. We intend to participate in regional foreign markets in these services. We think that the countries like Middle Asia, Iran and Georgia can benefit from our services. Of course, we are ready to offer this service to Slovenia. Next priority issue is to launch first communication satelliteâ€.
Along with this, Azerbaijan must invest in foreign countries and the local companies must be supported by the government: “One of the countries may be Slovenia and Azerbaijan Slovenia can invest in the third countryâ€.
In turn, Zarjavin stressed his visit to Azerbaijan and meetings with officials and noted that, the relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia developed.
