Baku. Aynur Valiyeva – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan will participate in the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Guadalajara, Mexico, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said, APA-Economics reports.
The delegation led by Ali Abbasov will represent Azerbaijan at the conference on October 4-22.
The Plenipotentiary Conference is the top policy-making body of the ITU. Held every four years, the Conference sets the Union’s general policies, adopts four-year strategic and financial plans and elects the senior management team of the organization, the members of Council and the members of the Radio Regulations Board. Azerbaijan has put forward its candidacy for membership of the ITU Supreme Council from Eastern Europe this year.
