â€œCatelâ€ company extends coverage

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva â€“ APA-Economics. From today installation of new base station enables â€œCATELâ€ to include Sheki town to the coverage of â€œFONEXâ€ CDMA communication services, main office of the company told APA-Economics. Thus subscribers of â€œCATELâ€ company can now use communication service and also additional services (mobile Internet, SMS etc.) on the territory of Sheki.

It should be emphasized, that now CATELâ€™s coverage area includes whole Baku, Absheron, Sumgayit, Kurdemir, Ujar, Shirvan, Goychay, Mingechevir, Ganja, Shamkir, Agstafa, Balaken, Shabran, Nabran, Guba, Lenkaran, Astara, Masalli, Jalilabad and Tovuz.

CATEL company which was established in 1997, offers wireless connection services to WLL telephone subscribers in FH-CDMA standards, also services to mobile connection subscribers in CDMA standards. CATEL was the first fixed wireless digital network in Azerbaijan to provide reliable and toll-quality telephone, facsimile, ISDN, Internet, and Data transsmission to customers. Since August 2004, for the first time in Azerbaijan, the company has started to apply completely new technology to Azerbaijan, with the latest introduction of CDMA 2000 1x service based on the equipment of the Huawei company. This technology was implemented by American company Qualcomm and has several advantages: ecological safety, big network capacity, high speed data transmission, data and digital fax support etc.
