E-signature system to be launched in Azerbaijan by year-end

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva - APA-Economics. Work on testing e-signature system is about to be completed in Azerbaijan. E-signature will be launched by the end of 2010, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Valizadeh said, APA reports.
E-signature project is being implemented by the consortium of IT firms - Ultra, Microsoft and Azerin. It is planned to prepare e-signature cards for natural and legal persons within the framework of the project.
Turkey’s experience was largely used in the implementation of the project and a protocol was signed with the country. Experience was exchanged with To By Tak company. Azerbaijan also made use of the experience of Romania, US and post-Soviet countries and determined that the application of the e-signature project basing on X-Roud principle is in line with the infrastructure in the country.
