Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Construction Spending Indicator (CSI) was 111% in June, 2010 in Azerbaijan. It was 159% in May, 169% - April, 83.7% - March, 160.6% - February and 34.3% - January, APA-Economics reported quoting the State Statistics Committee.
CSI is calculated as a comparison between the construction investment and previous month’s similar indicator. CSI characterizes the house construction and it is an indicator of personal incomes, buying ability and rate of economic development.
In June, 2010, AZN 91 million was invested in the house construction. AZN 81.9 million was spent in May, AZN 51.4 million – April, AZN 30.4 million – Mach, AZN 36.3 million – February, AZN 22.6 million – January. Above 100% CSI indicates increase of house construction investment and extension of constriction work.
