Azerfon-Vodafone extends coverage

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijanâ€™s first 3G operator Azerfon company is going to present third generation mobile services in Guba. Head of corporate communications department of Azerfon Elshad Farzaliyev told APA-Economics that 3G services coverage includes Baku, Sumgayit, Tovuz, Shamkir, Ganja, Nakhchivan and Shaki. Shirvan, Mingachevir and other big cities will gradually join 3G network.

According to Farzaliyev, the number of Azerfon-Vodafone sales and service centers will increase as the number of the 3G service users increase.
â€œThis will happen gradually. There are 7 sales and service centers in Baku, Azerfon-Vodafone centers in seven other cities at present,â€ he said.

Sales and service centers make it available for the subscribers to join Azerfone-Vodafone network, use high-level customers services, get detailed information about the broad services and tariff plans.
Azerfon-Vodafone users can also make use of video-call, improved sound quality, extended coverage.

Cooperation with Vodafone makes it available for Azerfon to present to Azerbaijani users a number of advanced products and services of Vodafone, make use of all privileges of 3G services.

Azerfon Company has been in operation since 2007. It has 1.7 million subscribers.
