Cargo and passenger transportations rise 2.5% and 3.5% in transport sector

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 94.2 mln tonnes cargo and 656.6 mln passengers were transported by individuals in motor transport sphere, in the first half-year, 2010.

State Statistical Committee says the cargo and passenger transportations rose by 2.4% and 3.5%, compared with a year ago.

11.4% of cargos were transported via railway transport, 50.5 % via motor transport, 5.8% via sea transport and 32.3% via pipelines. 85.3% of passengers were transported via motors, 14.2% via metro.
