Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Traffic Police Department of Baku City announced the number of transport means registered in Baku. Spokesman for the department Jamsheed Hanifayev told APA that latest statistics showed 562 878 cars are registered in Baku. 493 654 registered cars belonged to physical and 69 224 to legal entities.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, import of the non-Euro-2 transport means was banned. The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent said that only European vehicles produced after 1997, US and Latin American vehicles produced after 1996 and Russian vehicles produced after 2006 will be allowed to be imported to Azerbaijan.
