According to APA. A contract about the start of main stage of People’s Computer was signed on the frame work of forum. The new stage of project will be realized by Microsoft Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, Azerbaijan Ministry of education, Hewlett Packard, Ultra and Bestcomp Companies.
Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov spoke about the successfully execution of People’ Computer project. According to him, every 100 persons may have 12 computers. We want to increase this number, he said.
In term, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov noted that, there were 2 mln students and puplis and 200 000 teachers in the country. According to him, the computers will be purchased by the students and pupils, too. I offer this project to cover the pre-school institutions, vocational schools, technical schools and colleges, in the future, he added.
