Baku. Aynur Valiyeva – APA-Economics. An international seminar about Copyright and economic importance of creative industries is held today, in Baku. The seminar was organized by WIPO - World Intellectual Property Organization.
The head of Authors Rights Agency of Azerbaijan Kamran Imanov says that, the creative industry is one of the main sectors of economy.
According to him, the creative industry share in the world economy reached 8%. The volume of internet market exceeded $8 bln and the number of participants in these deals is more 875 mln persons that, this means 40% growth in 2 years.
Acting Director of the Creative Industries Division in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Dimiter Gantchev, the Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan), MP Ziyad Samadzadeh, the WIPO representative for European and Asian countries cooperation Saule Tlevlessova and other participants spoke in the seminar.
