SSCA signs protocol with counterparts from Germany

BakÄ±. Nicat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan and the Federal Statistical Office of Germany have signed the Protocol of Intentions on co-operation in the area of statistics. The Azerbaijani Committee informs that the Protocol was signed in the course of the Baku visit of FSOG president Roderich Egeler.

According to Protocol, the aim of the document is to create basis for co-operation in issues of use of information technologies, modern statistical methods, organization of exchange of statistical information, realization of projects of mutual interest in the area of statistics.

Besides, the SSC signed Action Plan 2010-12 with the National Institute of Statistics of Bulgaria within the framework of the co-operation agreement signed in 1999. The Plan was signed in the course of the Baku visit of Marianna Kottseva, the president of the Bulgarian Institute. The Action Plan stipulates collaboration between the two bodies in the area of spreading of statistical data on trade, services, tourism, foreign trade, labour market, living standards of the population.
