France intends to collaborate with Azerbaijan on space industry

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov met with French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Gabriel Keller.

According to head of press service of MCIT, Mushfig Abbasov, Ali Abbasov noted that new prospects of ICT sector of Azerbaijan are considered at present and it is necessary to expand cooperation to achieve those. Having touched upon interest of France to Azerbaijani space industry and launching of own telecommunications satellite, minister informed French ambassador on works, carried out in this direction.

Ambassador, in his turn, noted successful development of mutual relations and declared that he would exert every effort for larger expansion of connections. According to ambassador, there is large potential for cooperation of Azerbaijan and France in many spheres. He emphasized that the French party lays special emphasis on cooperation in the space industry sphere and orbital launching of the telecommunications satellite. French company Arianespace carries out production, exploitation and marketing of booster "Arian" and has placed into orbit 277 satellites until now.
