Baku – APA-Economics. Dubai Flydubai yesterday said it will launch flights to the Syrian city of Latakia in June, Zawya reported.

Latakia will be Flydubai’s third Syrian destination, after Damascus and Aleppo, and is the fifth new route to be announced by the airline this month.

The four-a-week service will begin on June 20 and will take the airline’s network to 18 destinations.

Prices for Latakia will start from Dh350 for one-way fare including all taxes and charges and one piece of hand luggage, the airline said in a statement.
Undefined Chief executive Gaith Al Gaith said: "Thanks to Flydubai, Dubai’s growing Syrian expatriate population and the 500,000-strong community in Latakia now have even better access to quality, safe and low-cost air travel."

Latakia is Syria’s busiest and most modern seaport located to the southwest of the urban centre of Aleppo and is increasingly gaining a reputation as a first-class tourism destination.

FZ233 to Latakia will depart from Dubai at 11.30am and lands at 2pm local time. FZ234 returns at 3.10pm local time and reaches Dubai at 7.30 pm.
