Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. The Baku Court of Grave Crimes on Thursday resumed the trial of Taleh Baghirov, Fuad Gahramanli and others.
Witness Khayyam Jamalov, an employee of Sabunchu District Police Department's Patrol Division gave testimony at the hearing presided over by judge Alovsat Abbasov.
He said that a group of persons gathered outside the police department on November 5 2015 demanding the release of Taleh Baghiov’s deputy Elchin Gasimov. They wounded police officers using stone and iron pieces.
Then Elnur Sharifov, an officer of Sabunchu District Police Department, gave similar testimony.
Defendant Zakir Mustafayev said the same person tortured him. He said that when he was at Sabunchu District Police Department, Sharifov insulted covered women. The outraged defendants and their close ones objected to him.
The accused Huseynov spit on the accused.
The judge announced a break.
After the break, the judge warned Abbas Huseynov and said that though he was warned several times, he again insulted the witness and public prosecutor. “I haven’t seen a while ago. Then I was said that you insulted the prosecutor as well. Therefore, we decide to remove you from the courtroom”, said the judge.
Huseynov said the tension was created by the opposite side and confessed that he deliberately committed this indecent act.
The judge said that all problems should be resolved by the law.
Fuad Gahramanli said that they should turn blind eyes to his spitting in the face of people. The judge said it is his own opinion, they all are subject to the law.
Then Huseynov was removed from the courtroom.
The defendants rejected to attend the hearing without Huseynov’s participation. They said in this case they won’t attend the hearing and will refuse the lawyers. The judge noted that they must attend the hearing, and they will be provided with other lawyers in case of rejecting theirs. The lawyers declared that it is not right to continue the hearing without Huseynov as most of the testimonies are about him. They asked the judge to postpone the hearing. The judge postponed the hearing to Sep.23 and said Huseynov should appeal for participation at the hearing.
