Azerbaijan arrests Pakistani citizens for making fake visas

Investigations revealed that Pakistani citizens Basil Ahmad Zeshan and Wadwan Ahmad have tried to prepare fake visas for five Pakistani citizens.

Computer specialist Basil Ahmad Zeshan, who is in Azerbaijan for the first time, received orders from illegal Pakistani migrant Wadwan Ahmad and created fake visas in a PC club near the 29 May subway station by changing the data in an e-visa belonging to another Pakistani citizen named Babar Shahzad.

Further investigations made it clear that the other seven had been brought to Azerbaijan by Pakistani citizen Sana Ur Rahman by deception. The latter entered Azerbaijan on Sept.19 last year and legalized his and his family’s temporary stay in the country through full-time education in university. By making false job promises to them, he defrauded a great deal of money from other Pakistani citizens whom he had invited to Azerbaijan. Sana Ur Rahman accommodated his fellow countrymen in different apartments he had rented.

It was revealed that Rahman involved other Pakistani citizen Nabeel Anjum in his illegal acts, Anjum welcomed, accommodated Pakistani citizens brought to Azerbaijan and made them appeal to Rahman with false promises. Anjuman entered Azerbaijan on June 25, 2016 and illegally stayed in Azerbaijan till June 26.

Other detained Pakistani citizens Shahzada Abu Bakar, Majid Ali, Arslan Ramzan, Adnan Athar, Muhammad Munir, Zahid Imran vÉ™ Arshad Mahmood were also illegally staying in the country.

Another detainee, Iraqi citizen Ahmed Mohammad Jarullah Mahmood came to the country on December 22, 2015 in order to work as a tourist guide and illegally rendered services like welcoming, accommodating, guiding and seeing off Iraqi citizens.

Though the term of the visas of Ahmed Mohammad Jarullah Mahmood and other Iraqi citizen Mahmud Shakir Mahmud Ad-Dulaimin expired, they didn’t leave the country and continued staying in the country as illegal migrants.

As a result of the measures taken against illegal migration, the State Migration Service neutralized the aforementioned foreigners.

The State Migration Service continues operations against illegal migration.
