The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received reports via the “112” hotline about the discovery of weapons and ammunition in the Gobu and Masazir villages of the Absheron district, APA reports, citing MES.
The Ministry immediately deployed the MES's Special Risk Rescue Service's mobile group for mine clearance to the scene.
After appropriate security measures were taken with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies, the mobile group removed a total of 8 F1 hand grenades, 10 RGD 5 hand grenades, 18 UZRQM detonators, 7 rounds of 7.62x55 mm ammunition, 2 rounds of 9x18 mm ammunition, a Makarov pistol, and a Tokarev pistol.
No other dangerous or suspicious items were found during the additional search in the vicinity of the incident site.
