Two people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in Goranboy district, APA’s local bureau reports.
The incident occurred on the section of the Baku-Gazakh highway passing through the district. A “Hyundai” passenger car veered off the road and overturned after the driver lost control.
According to preliminary information, the vehicle was driven by 65-year-old Nasiba Nagiyeva, a resident of Bayan village in Dashkasan district. She and her grandson, 6-year-old F. Mammadli, died at the scene.
The driver’s daughter, 34-year-old Ayshe Mammadli, sustained minor injuries. Two other passengers — Nagiyeva’s grandchildren, 8-year-old A. Mammadli and 3-year-old A. Mammadli — were seriously injured and taken to Yevlakh District Hospital for medical treatment.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
