The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information through the '112' hotline about a traffic accident on the Baku-Quba highway, specifically in the Siyazan district, APA reports, citing MES.
Forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon assessing the situation at the site, it was determined that the accident took place when a 'DAF' fuel truck, carrying 39 tons of fuel in its trailer, lost control and overturned, causing the fuel to spill and creating a fire and explosion risk.
Currently, fire-fighting teams are taking necessary measures to eliminate the potential fire and explosion threat.
