Suleyman Suleymanlı has been summoned to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Prosecutor General’s Office issued a statement to ITV, APA reports.
Suleyman Suleymanlı, who is under investigation, has received an official notice under Article 467-13.4 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, requesting his presence at the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The accused, Suleyman Suleymanlı, born on June 24, 1985, has been summoned to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Suleyman Suleymanlı is required to bring identification documents and appear at the administrative building of the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office on April 22, 2025, at 12:00.
What is Suleyman Suleymanlı accused of?
Suleymanlı is accused under Articles 12.1, 34.2, 220.2, and 12.1, 34.2, 281.2 of the Criminal Code, as per the decision made on September 7, 2020.
The decision reveals that, between April 19, 2019, and August 7, 2019, Agayev, in collaboration with individuals convicted by a court ruling, shared videos on social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook, calling for the violent overthrow of the government, illegal detention, and changes to Azerbaijan's constitutional order. These videos also contained calls for violent, unlawful mass disturbances and spreading such content.
Search and arrest warrant for Suleyman Suleymanlı
Since Suleyman Suleymanlı has fled from the investigation and is hiding outside the borders of Azerbaijan, an arrest warrant was issued on September 7, 2020, and a detention order was selected by the Nasimi District Court of Baku.
According to Articles 54-2.1.7 and 467-13.3 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Agayev is warned that if he fails to appear as summoned, he may face a trial in absentia, and a verdict or other final decision may be made in his absence.
