A military ammunition has exploded in Azerbaijan's Khojavand district, the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) released information, APA reports.
According to the report, an explosion of military ammunition took place on March 5 in the Sos village area of the Khojavand district.
Ali Alahbar Sadigov, a 2002-born resident of Aybasanli village in the Fuzuli district, was injured in his left hand as a result of the detonation of the trigger mechanism of a hand grenade.
An investigation is underway at the Khojavand district prosecutor's office regarding the incident.
"ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again urges citizens to adhere to safety regulations, not to touch dangerous objects, not to interfere with them, to carefully observe the mine danger signs, and not to enter areas they are not familiar with," - the information says.
