ICAO calls on Astana to fully follow international requirements in investigation over AZAL's aircraft

"Since the first day of the crash of the passenger plane belonging to AZAL, our country has been interested in conducting an objective and comprehensive investigation into the incident," said Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev during a meeting with Nikolya Rallo, Director of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) European and North Atlantic Office, APA reports.

ICAO and International Convention: The causes of the incident are being investigated

The ICAO official, in turn, highly appreciated the prompt release of the preliminary investigation report regarding the causes of the aviation accident.

When will the final report be released? – Official Positions

Rallo called on the official Astana to fully comply with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Convention during the investigation.

Note that the final report of the Commission investigating the causes of the incident will be released by the end of this year, in accordance with the Chicago Convention.
