Poland's law enforcement agencies continue to successfully cooperate in the fight against crime, the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
In accordance with the requirements of the "Extradition Convention" dated December 13, 1957, the extradition of Georgian citizen Aghajanov Fizuli Ulpat was approved by the Lodz District Court of the Republic of Poland.
Since there were reasonable suspicions that Ulpet Aghajanov had committed the crime of premeditated murder as part of a group of individuals who had previously conspired, a decision was made to bring him in as a defendant and he was placed on the international wanted list for fleeing the investigation. He was identified and arrested in October 2024 in the city of Kutno, Poland.
On April 3, 2025, U. Aghajanov was brought to Azerbaijan from the Republic of Poland under the escort of a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
