"Law-enforcement bodies of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan released information on detention of five Azerbaijanis in the territory of Kyrgyz Republic as suspected persons on March 23, 2024. Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan acted in mutual connection with the relevant law-enforcement bodies of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and submitted information about the persons to the Kyrgyz side," according to a statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, APA reports.
It has been noted that as a result of investigations, it has been determined that one of the persons detained as a suspect was previously convicted of a crime in the territory of the Russian Federation, and the other in the Republic of Azerbaijan: "Based on the request of the law-enforcement bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic, the location of 4 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are suspected of having relations with the mentioned persons has been determined in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and they have been handed over to the relevant law-enforcement bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic."
