In the past year, the State Security Service has effectively ensured the country's security, said Chief of the State Security Service, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, during an event dedicated to the professional holiday of Azerbaijani security forces employees, APA reports.
He noted that significant work had been done to prevent external and internal threats, particularly in the fight against crimes such as treason, espionage, terrorism, financing of terrorism, and preparations for the assassination of state or public figures.
Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev emphasized that significant results had been achieved in combating these crimes. He also mentioned that some destructive forces had attempted to carry out subversive activities, but all attempts against the country's security would be firmly prevented.
