The Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office is currently conducting large-scale investigative measures in connection with the plane crash, Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General said at a board meeting held at the Prosecutor General's Office, APA reports.
Noted that immediately after the plane crash, on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, high-ranking officials of relevant state bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a medical team equipped with necessary medical equipment were dispatched to the scene of the accident to ensure the provision of urgent and specialized medical and psychological assistance to Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of the accident. A State Commission was established to investigate the incident, and in addition, the head of state gave relevant instructions on the evacuation of our injured citizens to our country, the creation of necessary conditions for their continued treatment in Azerbaijan, the return of the bodies of the deceased, and special attention and care for the victims and their family members: "At the same time, it was reported that after the incident, a criminal case was immediately initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office and large-scale investigative measures are currently being carried out by the Investigation Department."
