Azerbaijani drug courier, who established contact with an Iranian drug dealer on social networks, was detained in Yasamal district, APA reports citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As a result of another operation implemented by Azerbaijani police, Sadig Nabiyev, a Baku resident, born in 1985, who was involved in illegal drug trafficking, and previously convicted, was detained. A large amount of 3 kilograms and 105 grams of narcotic marijuana was found on that person and seized. S. Nabiyev said that he obtained the marijuana for the purpose of selling it in Baku by establishing a contact with an Iranian citizen, whose identity is being investigated, he met on social networks.
A criminal case has been initiated and investigations are underway.
