Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Ziyadkhan Aliyev has passed away, APA reports.
According to him, his father passed away this evening.
Notable Ziyadkhan Aliyev was born on July 1, 1948 in Shamkir. In 1974, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Art School named after A. Azimzade with honors. Later, he studied at the Art History Faculty of the St. Petersburg Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Y. Repin (1976–1982). Since 1984, he has been elected a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, and since 1987, he has been elected a member of the Presidium of this organization.
Ziyadkhan Aliyev is also the author of a number of works as a researcher of Azerbaijani fine arts.
