The reliable protection of the state border, as well as measures to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors, are being successfully implemented, the Press Center of the State Border Service released information, APA reports.
It was reported that as a result of border searches and operational measures carried out on March 6 in the service area of the “Goytapa” border detachment of the State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops, smuggling of a total of 25 kilograms and 900 grams of narcotic marijuana from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented.
Operational-investigative measures are underway regarding the case.
