As reported, the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan received report about a fire that broke out in an open area in the direction of the villages of Aliaghali and Yeni Garalar in the Aghdam district and Sirkhavend in the Aghdara district, and the Ministry’s forces were immediately deployed to the area, press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
In order to prevent the fire from spreading to a wider area and to accelerate the extinguishing work, two helicopters of the Aviation Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and forces of the State Fire Protection Service were deployed to the area.
Firefighting measures are currently ongoing.

It has not been possible to extinguish the fire that broke out in the areas of Aghdam and Aghdara, APA’s local correspondent reports.
Despite the continuous efforts of Emergency Situations Ministry personnel to fight the blaze, the fire is still ongoing.
The windy weather is further intensifying the fire.
It should be noted that the fire occurred in the areas of Aliaghali and Yeni Garalar villages of Aghdam district, as well as in the villages of Kazanchi and Sirkhavend in the Aghdara district.

It is reported that the forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately involved in the area in connection with the information.
Five explosions were recorded in the areas where the fire broke out.
APA's local correspondent reports that the explosions were mainly recorded in the territory of the Aghdara district.
Three of the explosions were recorded in the evening, and two a few minutes earlier.
The cause of the explosion is believed to be mines and unexploded ordnance in the area.
Note that 4 special equipment and up to 50 personnel were involved in the area where the fire broke out.
