During the first 4 months of the current year, a total of 6,228 administrative decisions were made by the State Migration Service regarding violations of migration legislation, the State Migration Service said in response to APA’s inquiry.
“During the measures carried out by the State Migration Service against illegal migration in the first 4 months of the current year, a total of 2,754 foreigners were detained. It was determined that they were residing illegally (without documents granting the right to be and live in the country), engaged in activities inconsistent with the declared purpose of entry, involved in illegal employment, or not living at their registered addresses. A total of 668 foreigners were administratively expelled from the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their entry into the country was restricted for a period established by law,” the statement said.
