The next trial in Bakhtiyar Hajiyev’s criminal case has been held, APA reports.
During the session at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes today, chaired by Judge Ali Mammadov, the conclusion of the court investigation was announced.
The state prosecutor delivered a speech and requested a sentence of 11 years of imprisonment for Bakhtiyar Hajiyev.
The defense lawyers requested time for their statement.
The trial will continue on January 6.
Note that Bakhtiyar Hajiyev was arrested in December 2022 on charges of hooliganism and disrespect toward the court.
Last year, he was charged under Articles 192 (illegal entrepreneurship), 193-1 (legalization of criminally obtained property), 206 (smuggling), 320 (use of forged documents), and 213.1 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
