Singer Ragsana and her mother comment on reports about arrest of their family members for human trafficking

Goranboy region passport registration department told APA that Ellada Ismayilova and Ragsana Ismayilova are sisters. The department said that both Ellada and Ragsana Ismayilovas are registered in Goranboy region, 1 May village and got identity cards on August 31, 2004. It was proved that Ellada Ismayilova is Ragsana Ismayilovaâ€™s sister. Ragsana Ismayilova indirectly confirmed to Sharg newspaper that her mother was detained by the Interior Ministry.
â€œMy motherâ€™s name was mentioned two days after the reports spread. Somebody learned my motherâ€™s name and tried to mention her name in the case,â€ she said.
Information about Adila Hasanova has been posted in the official website of the Interior Ministry. It is written that officers of Interior Ministryâ€™s department to Combat Human Trafficking detained 29-year old Ellada Ismayilova and later the other member of the gang Ellada Ismayilovaâ€™s mother, Goranboy resident 55-year old Adila Hasanova. The gang members are accused of sexual abuse.
APA managed to learn the story of the woman complained of Ellada Ismayilova. The victim (her name is confidential, and mentioned A. ) writes that she wanted to leave Khanlar region for Russia and find job.
But the sister of the person whom the victim applied said that they would take her to Turkey together with other girl later on. Following this, she got acquainted with Arzu-woman who was engaged in women trafficking in Turkey. A. leaves house on the pretext of going to Russia, but she leaves for the region as nobody meets her in Baku. Next time, A. takes her with her to Ragsanaâ€™s house. Ragsana and her mother said that there were good jobs in Turkey and stay here for two months. Problem in A.â€™s documents caused the problem. She needs her parentsâ€™ permission as she was juvenile. But the document was not prepared as her father did not give his permission. Therefore, they got her fatherâ€™s signature and send her to Turkey urgently. They hired a house in Bodrum and stayed there. Then Ellada made her serve sexually to 15 men in one night. This condition continues six months. A. asked other Azerbaijani girls in Turkey to inform police about her condition. Following this, Turkish police launched operation and detained Ellada and Arzu,â€ she said.
The sufferer introduced Ragsanaâ€™s mother Adila Hasanovaâ€™s mobile phone to APA Information Agency. The woman who answered to the call of APA correspondent said that she was Adila Hasanova-Ragsanaâ€™s mother. But she refuted her detention.
â€œI am at my home, if I had been detained, I would have never answered the call. Yes, this is my phone number. All the reports are false. These are measures taken against Ragsana, this is a game done at order,â€ she said.
She replied to the question on whether Ellada was in Goranboy, â€œShe is not there, if it is possible, we will tell her to contact with you. They saw that they could not do anything, therefore played trick on us,â€ she said.
When they said that there was saying that Ragsana left for Turkey she took the phone.
â€œI am at home, my mother is also at home. These are tricks. All know it well,â€ she said.
Ragsana replied to the question on her sister:
â€œYou are not a court or a prosecutor. I have no right to respond to you. My mother is sick, her diabetes is above 400. I will make a briefing after a week. I have no patience right now. No one just speaks about those men trapped under the debris of the collapsed building, everybody is just talking about Ragsana. As if we are not Azerbaijanis, everybody calls me in a minute. Have I killed a human? or committed parricide? They called all channels to put a ban on Ragsana,why? I will complain about it. I will investigate the fact. There are a lot of singers whose brother, sister, or mother is in the jail. Why do not they investigate them? Why me? Ragsanaâ€™s mother is a widow, has 2 orphans, no husband, no brother by her side. How can they say that we are involved in human trafficking? Which facts are they based on? I can no more talk about itâ€¦â€
The singer said that she has not yet briefed any journalist so far: â€œYou are just two reporters I am keeping in touch with. I have not talked to anybody, have not seen anybody. My producer Tarana talked with everyone. I will give a press conference in a weekâ€.
â€œI have no idea how you got the number of my mother. It seems the entire town knows my motherâ€™s number,â€ added singer.
Interior Ministry did not rule out Adila Hasanovaâ€™s releasing on bail: â€œHer releasing does not have to mean her charge is dropped.â€/APA/
