Misir Merdanov receives deputy head of OSCE Office in Baku

Minister of Education Misir Merdanov received deputy head of OSCE Office in Baku Robin Seaword, ministry press service told APA.
Robin Seaword expressed their intention to apply OSCE “Green envelope� program in secondary schools. The program envisions giving education to 10-12-year old pupils about the environment. The program, tested in other OSCE member countries, involves parents as well as pupils. Parents should support children to protect the nature and take care of environment. He said one school in Baku and one in the region may be chosen for the application of the program. The deputy head stated that teachers participating in the program will receive wide information about it. Misir Merdanov said that ecology is studied in the secondary schools. The minister considered it expedient to implement the pilot project within other state programs. /APA/
