Azerbaijan has 1.8 million families

Chief of the State Committee for Family, Woman and Child Problems Hijran Huseynova held a press conference on the results of one-year activities of the committee, APA reports.
The chief said State Committee has dealt with the organizational works, studying the conditions of family and woman, implementation of state and development programs and establishment of international relations. The committee has received over 1000 appeals in a year. It has also gegun to form a statistical base of the families in the republic. There are 1.8 million families in Azerbaijan now.
She noted that they have done much in return of the children in boarding-schools and childrenâ€™s home. 5 children have been returned to their biological families. The committee monitored these enterprises with the representatives of Ministries of Education, Finance, Labor and Social Protection.
â€œI was found out that the children are misdiagnosed. We appealed to the Health Ministry and the problem was positively solved. Besides, a headmaster has been dismissed for these reasonsâ€?, she said. /APA/
