Stadium with over 70 000 seats to be built in Baku

Azerbaijan intends to host 2016 Olympic Games. He said that the opening ceremony of the Olympic game must be held in the big stadium admitting over 70 000 audience according to the regulation of International Olympic Committee.
â€œThe stadium is expected to be built either in Baku-Sumgayit, Baku-Elet or Olympic camp territory. The time of construction will be known after the first stage of documentation on Olympics is finished in September. The construction of the stadium will be funded from 2008 budgetâ€?, he said.
Ragif Abbasov noted that the stadium meeting Olympic standards will be built even if Azerbaijan doesnâ€™t host the 2016 Olympic Games.
