Trial of former officer and soldiers to be over

Azerbaijanâ€™s Court of Grave Crimes presided over Judge Jamal Ramazanov will finish the trial of former officer of Military Unit N Adalet Azizov and his six soldiers, the court told the APA. The public prosecutors will ask court to sentence the accused on January 31.
According to accusation act, six soldiers beginning from 2005 beat one of the soldiers regularly and drove him to commit suicide. That soldier committed suicide shooting at his head last year.
It should be noted that, senior lieutenant Adalet Azizov is convicted in the Article 125 (drive to suicide), 331.1, 331.3 (to insult, beat and torture serviceman), and 341.2.3 (abuse of authority) of the Criminal Code and the soldiers Kamal Salamov, Elyar Bagirov, Javid Jabrayilov, Eldeniz Teymurov, Rza Mammadbeyov, Babek Demirov are convicted in the Articles 331.2(to insult, torture and beat servicemen), 332 (violation of rules of regulations of mutual relations of servicemen) and 182.2.3 (to demand by threatening) of the Criminal Code. /APA/
