Azerbaijani General Prosecutorâ€™s Office launched criminal investigation into the fact of false teacher diplomas

He noted that corresponding investigations were carried out by Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutor on appeals entered to the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office and the investigation of the criminal case has launched on the gathered materials on Criminal Codeâ€™s articles â„–308.1 (Abusing official powers) and â„– 320.1 (Fake of official documents). Sultanov said that the investigation was being carried out on the criminal case in Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutor.

Within the measures taken by the Education Ministry towards the checking of diplomas of teachers working in Azerbaijani secondary schools, it was revealed that the diplomas of 92 of teachers working in comprehensive schools in 24 regions were false. 24 of false diplomas were found in Berde, 12 in Guba, 7 in Jalilabad, the rest in the other 20 regions. The education Ministry addressed the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for investigation of the issue.

Besides, the Education Ministry started investigations in more 25 comprehensive establishments.
