Turkish government appealed for help for releasing the Azerbaijani scientist who is under arrest in Iran

To him, the appeal prepared by MP members, scientists and intelligentsia has been presented to Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan. They ask for help in direction of release Azerbaijani scientist Aliyev who is under arrest in Iran. Speaking about high-level relations between Turkey and Iran, Malikov noted that there was a legal understanding between the two countries: â€œAnd that is why we hope that if Turkish government helps it, Aliyevâ€™s release will be realized soon. We hope that appropriate measures will be taken in this direction by Turkish government. Rashid Aliyev is not only scientist of Azerbaijan but also whole Turkic world.

Note that, Rashid Aliyev, the leading engineer of the lab of Physical Problems Institute of Baku State University, was arrested in the Islamic Republic of Iran a year ago. He worked in Sazan Electronics Industry Company in 2006-2008 at the invitation of the company and within the framework of the contract signed by consent of Baku State University. He worked in Semnan city of Iran and led the first installation and exploitation of automatic program controlled technological laser system, preparation of perfect experience for modern laser systems and test stand.

The company offered permanent job to Aliyev for many times, but he didnâ€™t accept it and returned to Azerbaijan. Rashid Aliyev last returned to Iran on October 5 after insistent invitation by the companyâ€™s director Abbas Eftekhari. On October 6, he was arrested because of visa problem.

He is accused of bringing information and electron schemes on laser technology to Azerbaijan.
