Criminal case has been launched in connection with the death and injury of military personnel in a overturned military vehicle of the Border Troops of Azerbaijan

According to information, the criminal case has been launched under Articles 263.3. (The act provided by article 263.1 of the present Code, committed on imprudence entailed death of two or more persons â€“
is punished by imprisonment for the term from five up to ten years with deprivation of the right to operate a vehicle for the term up to five years.
NOTE: other mechanical vehicles in present article are understood as trolley buses, tractors, motorcycles both self-propelled machines and mechanisms.), 351.3. (The act provided by article 351.1 of the present Code, on imprudence entailed to death of two or more persons â€“
is punished by imprisonment for the term from five up to ten years with deprivation of the right to operate a vehicle for the term up to five years) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic.

Information about the identity of those killed and injured as a result of the accident troops are not known yet.

Note that, tragedy took place today at about 15.00 in Lerik region of Azerbaijan. On the 48-th km of Lankaran-Lerik highway, in Guneshli village of Lerik region, military vehicle with number signs 04-63 SQ, belonging to Azerbaijani Border Forces, overturned.

First Deputy Head of Lerik region executive power, chairman of the Region Committee on Emergency Situations Habil Malikov told APA that there were 16 soldiers in the vehicle carrying the soldiers of the military unit Â«NÂ» of the Border Forces. As a result of the accident four of the soldiers killed 12 - received various injuries.

According to information, people in the military vehicles were demobilized servicemen from the army.

Wounded were taken to Lankaran military hospital.

Region leadership, law enforcement officials came to the site.

Investigation is underway on the fact

Lerik region attorney Salman Samedov told APAâ€™s south bureau that military vehicle overturned in the village of Guneshli, located in the mountainous zone, and rolled down. To him, there were 18 soldiers in the car, of whom four died, 14 - received various injuries. 17 of them were soldiers, 1 - officer.
