Interior Ministry holds board meeting

Baku â€“ APA. The Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan held a board meeting dedicated its activity in the field of combating crimes and providing public order and security and traffic regulations and duties laid ahead. Interior Minister Colonel-General Ramil Usubov opened the meeting and made report on the ministryâ€™s activity, press service of the Interior Ministry told APA.
Police Major-General, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department Emin Shakinski commenting on the first issue on the agenda, said that the Interior Ministry always focuses on proper activity in searching the accused and missing persons.
Police Major-General, Chief of State Road Police Department Ramiz Zeynalov provided detailed information on traffic regulation in the country.
At the conclusion of the board meeting, General-Colonel Ramil Usubov noted that the Interior Ministryâ€™s activity within the last reporting period was satisfactory. The minister said positive results were achieved in the first quarter of the year in law-enforcement, in combating crimes, ensuring public safety, solving grave crimes, preventing illicit drug turnover. He also said the leadership of the Security Department and local bodies carried out important activities to improve security service in line with modern standards and eliminate the existing problems. Usubov set tasks and recommendations on elimination of shortcomings.
