Baku Prosecutor’s Office told APA that Sedreddin Seyfullayev hanged himself with a bed sheet in the bathroom of the medical unit of the Penitentiary Service on March 24. Nizami district prosecutor’s office has launched criminal case on the fact on article 125 (inciting to suicide) of the Criminal Code.
No injury was found on the body, special examination will be held to determine the causes of the death.
Investigation is underway.
Seyfullayev is the member of the organized gang that was rendered harmless by National Security Ministry and State Customs Committee on January 13. During the operations Sedreddin Seyfullayev, citizens of Iran Musevi Bagrabad Seyid Abbas Mir Tofig and Yusif Havig Seyid Karim Mir Rahim, who smuggled drugs en route Iran – Azerbaijan – Russia, were detained. The group members brought 31.500k drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan.
