Judge appointed to conduct court investigation of mass killing at State Oil Academy

An unknown man entered the building, where the faculties â€œOil gas fieldâ€ and â€œOil engineeringâ€ of Azerbaijan Oil Academy located in Dilara Aliyeva Street, 227, and shot at everybody he met from the first floor up to the six floor. 12 were killed, 13 wounded in the aftermath of the shooting. Responsible employees of special task police unit, district police and prosecutorâ€™s offices immediately arrived at the site. Seeing he will be rendered harmless by the police the criminal committed suicide. He was identified as the Georgian citizen Gadirov Farda Asad, 29. â€œMakarovâ€ pistol, 3 especially-prepared cartridge-belts with 71 bullets, 2 pistols, 2 magazines were found on the offender. Nadir Aliyev, Ariz Gabulov, Javidan Amirov and Najaf Suleymanov were arrested according to the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.

Press service of the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office told APA the crimes of accused persons were proved by undeniable evidences. Accused Amirov Javidan Farman is charged with the articles 214.2.1 (terrorism), 28, 120.2.1 (preparation to deliberate murder), 120.2.3, 120.2.4, 120.2.5, 120.2.7, 120.2.10, 120.2.11, 120.2.12 (deliberate murder), 29 (attempt to deliberate murder), 206.4 (organized smuggling), 228.2.2, 228.3 (illegal storage, saving and carrying of arms and ammunitions), 234.1 (illegal storage and carrying of narcotic drugs), Aliyev Nadir Shirkhan and Suleymanov Najaf Novruz with articles 214.2.1, 214.2.3, 120.2.1, 120.2.3, 120.2.4, 120.2.5, 120.2.7, 120.2.10, 120.2.11, 120.2.12, 228.2.2, 228.3, 206.4 and 234.1. of the Criminal Code.

A criminal case launched against Farda Gadirov was dropped because of his suicide.

The General Prosecutorâ€™s Office finished the criminal investigation of the cases of above-mentioned persons and sent the materials to the Court of Grave Crimes on March 29, 2010.
