Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Azerbaijani parliamentarians have today discussed electricity crisis caused by sow in Baku, APA reports. MP Igbal Agazadeh regarded the problems caused by weather conditions in Baku as a serious fault.
“The issue on utility services of Baku should be in competence of the municipalities. Baku municipality should be established,” he said.

Zahid Oruj said all bodies mobilized during the hard weather conditions and eliminated the problem.

Tahir Rzayev said giving extra authorities to municipalities might cause additional problems.
“They can not fulfill it yet. The roads were cleared, the problem was eliminated…”

“I praise the work of the traffic police and Ministry of Emergency Situations. But power cutoff in Baku is a serious problem. Rubbish was on the street. Most of these problems are connected with the absence of reforms. The relevant bodies should be privatized. The persons making faults should be punished,” Gudrat Hasanguliyev said.

Fazail Agamali said the energy crisis should be investigated and measures taken. He said mistake of the relevant bodies caused the problem.
“There was no problem, except the electricity…” he said.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov also took a stance on the problem. He said the Ministry of Emergency Situations and traffic police worked very good in the bad weather conditions.
“But America also had electricity problem when it snowed,” he said.
