The road accident happened in Huseyn Javid avenue. Bus #70 driven by Eyvaz Aliyev ran over Leyla Akhundzadeh, 58. Akhundzadeh was taken to hospital, but died because of serious injuries.
Spokesman for Culture and Tourism Ministry Intigam Humbatov told APA that Leyla Akhundzadeh was chief of fine arts and decorative art sector of the ministry.
Under the President’s order, title of “Honored art figure†was conferred on Leyla Akhundzadeh in 2007.
