Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The next hearing on the case of former president of Barmek-Azerbaijan Huseyn Arabul and five others has been held today in the Court of Grave Crimes, APA reports. Judge Novruz Karimov presided over the hearing. Resident of Aghtafa region Svetlana Isayeva gave testimony. The witness said she is working in Hasansu restaurant in Aghstafa. She said she does not recognize the defendants, but twice saw a man looking like Huseyn Arabul and two other men on June 1. Isayeva said she was not familiar with her testimony. The witness said those men left the restaurant after 15-20 minutes. Huseyn Arabul said he did not recognize the witness, forgot what happened after he drank tea in the restaurant in Aghstafa.
“I felt bad. I do not remember anything,” he said.

As one of the witnesses was ill, the hearing was postponed by September 7.

Huseyn Arabul, Turkish citizen Ayhan Donmez, Azerbaijanis – Mahir Latifov, Elnur Huseynov, Famil Guliyev, Ramal Alakbarov are accused of crossing the border illegally and giving bribe.

In 2007, former president of Barmek-Azerbaijan Huseyn Arabul got five-year suspended sentence with paying AZN 1.370 million. The court also passed a decision banning Arabul from leaving Azerbaijan.
