Switzerland appoints special representative for South Caucasus

Its geographical priorities will be the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus, APA reports quoting the Swiss Foreign Ministry press-service. It intends to strengthen dialogue and confidence-building measures in the South Caucasus. For this purpose, Angelo Gnadinger has been appointed as Swiss special representative for the South Caucasus. Though the appointment was made in late October, the special representative will take office on January 1, 2014.

Angelo Gnadinger is currently working as political mediator at the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva. He has a vast experience on settlement of conflicts, international law and political mediation.
