Israel-Azerbaijan International Association (Aziz) told APA that on November 13, Samad Seyidov visited Knesset together with Director General of Aziz Lev Spivak and member of the Association’s Management Board Ilana Laitman.
Samad Seyidov first met with member of Shas Party, chairman of Israel-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship commission Amnon Cohen. The sides discussed the development of the relations between the parliaments, agreed to organize mutual visits. After the meeting Amnon Cohen personally accompanied Samad Seyidov to the office of Knesset Speaker, Likud Party member Yuli Edelstein. Yuli Edelstein expressed his best wishes to his Azerbaijani counterpart, speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov and asked Samad Seyidov to convey his congratulations to Ilham Aliyev on his re-election as President. The sides discussed joint cooperation within the international organizations.
Following this, Samad Seyidov met with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu said the visit proves once more that Israel-Azerbaijan relations are developing properly. He expressed his hope that both countries will do their best for the development of bilateral relations.
