Iran offers to increase working hours at Bilasuvar and Astara customs checkpoints

Baku. Shamil Alibayli – APA. Joint Commission on international automobile relations between Iran and Azerbaijan finished its third meeting.

Press service of Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA that both sides expressed their satisfaction with the work done in the sphere of automobile relations. They agreed that if necessary, steps can be taken to launch new bus routes between the countries.

Iran offered to increase working hours at Bilasuvar and Astara checkpoints to eliminate traffic jam and reduce waiting time of the trucks at Baku customs. It was decided that these issues should be studied by Azerbaijan.

The Iranian delegation was led by Director General of Iran's Transportation and Terminals Organization for transit and border terminals, Mohammad Javad Atrchian and the Azerbaijani delegation – by head of the State Road Transport Service Huseyn Salamov.

The next meeting of Joint Commission on international automobile relations between Azerbaijan and Iran will be held in Tehran.
