He said though restriction has been eliminated for the pedestrians crossing the border, there is still restriction for trucks.
“The citizens, who want to leave Azerbaijan for Iran by bus, face no restrictions in crossing the border, but there is still restriction for cars and trucks,” he said.

Iran issued a statement on the closure of Bilasuvar and Julfa border checkpoints on November 8. The statement issued on the behalf of Mohammad Ayatollahi, the spokesman for the embassy, says that this step was taken due to the fact that the Azerbaijani frontier guards have closed Poldasht-Shahtakhti checkpoint and the attempts made to open it have not produced results.
Seyed Mohammad Ayatollahi said as the checkpoint was not opened, Iran closed Bilasuvar and Julfa checkpoints after waiting for two days and informing the Azerbaijani side beforehand.
